The progression of a twin-deck video dubbing machine for the home continues. Go-Video Inc. of Scottsdale, Ariz., announced Tuesday that it has reached agreements with Mitsubishi Electric Corp. and Akai Electric Co. Ltd. of Japan in antitrust litigation filed by Go-Video last year. The suit alleged that Japanese electronics giants were preventing Go-Video from obtaining parts and manufacturing facilities for its twin-deck VCR. Mitsubishi and Akai, while denying that they had violated the antitrust laws or had interfered in any way with Go-Video, agreed that they would not use any of their proprietary VCR technology or patents to block Go-Video’s efforts to market a dual-deck VCR.
