United Education & Software, an Encino chain of trade schools, said recent problems it experienced processing student loans appear to be linked to computer software changes. The chain’s loan processing operations have been under review by officials from the Department of Education, the Higher Education Assistance Foundation and the California Student Aid Commission. United Education said the loans involved are some that it processes for the California Student Loan Finance Corp., a private, nonprofit corporation.
