Peter Tanscheit of Brazil recorded a win on the first day of the World Laser yachting championships in the English Channel after initially being disqualified for a false start.
After Tanscheit crossed the finishing line at Falmouth harbor, he was told that Rohan Lord of New Zealand, who led to the first triangle, had been awarded first place.
But after a meeting, yachting stewards reversed their decision and gave Tanscheit the win.
