Flintridge Prep to Rely on Pass Attack

Glen Beattie will attempt to become an air-traffic controller of sorts this season at Flintridge Prep.
The Rebel coach expects his team’s pass defense to be improved over last season when Flintridge Prep was 5-4, 2-2 in the Prep League. Most of the responsibility in that endeavor will fall to cornerbacks David Swayne (5 feet, 11 inches, 150-pounds) and David Park (5-9, 145).
“We’ve finally got speed,” Beattie said. “So if the ball does get thrown over us we won’t get burned.”
On offense, junior quarterback Chris Bisgaard, who passed for 1,300 yards and 21 touchdowns last season, will lead an aerial attack that also features Swayne, who had 11 touchdown catches in 1987.
