Jay Edwards, Indiana’s leading scorer in Big Ten basketball games last season and the conference’s freshman of the year, has withdrawn from the university to enter a drug rehabilitation program, Coach Bob Knight said.

“Edwards’ involvement came to light in the (school) testing program,” Knight said of the 6-foot 4-inch sophomore.
