E. German Drives Truck Across Border to West

MUNICH, West Germany — An East German man smashed through border barriers in a truck to escape to West Germany over the weekend, West German police said Sunday.
The 28-year-old man drove through a double row of steel-mesh fencing and reached Bavaria on Saturday without East German border guards noticing.
