Parks Has Big Day in Wheelchair Tennis

Brad Parks of San Clemente won one division championship and advanced to the semifinals in another Friday in the U.S. Wheelchair Tennis Championship at the Racquet Club of Irvine.
Parks teamed with Chantal Vandierdonck of Holland to win the mixed doubles title. Parks and Vandierdonck defeated Monique Vanden Bosch of Holland and Rick Slaughter of Nashville, 6-3, 7-5.
Parks also defeated Slaughter, 6-4, 7-5, to advance to the semifinals of the men’s open division.
