Harry Usher, who served as executive vice president and general manager of the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee, was formally elected chairman and president of the U.S. Olympic Festival to be held in Los Angeles in July 1991.
The festival’s board of directors also named a three-member search committee to recommend hiring an executive director for the 34-sport event early next year.
