Cal State Northridge places a pair of streaks on the line at 7:30 tonight in a women’s volleyball match at home against UC Riverside.
The Lady Matadors, ranked fourth nationally in Division II, have won 46 consecutive California Collegiate Athletic Assn. matches and have never lost a conference match at home--a streak of 44.
Northridge, the defending national champion, is 15-8 overall, 4-0 in the CCAA. UC Riverside, ranked fifth in Division II, is 10-1, 4-0.
Riverside is the last CCAA team to beat the Matadors, but it was not in a conference match. The CSUN loss occurred in the national championship match 2 years ago.
