An 80-year-old woman who died in a fire at her La Jolla condominium was identified Saturday as Jean McLennan Weber.
The victim, also known as Jean Francomb, died when a blaze broke out Friday night in the residential high-rise building at 939 Coast Blvd.
Jack Larkie, a San Diego County assistant coroner, said the woman had been confined to bed for the last two days. He added that she was known to smoke in bed but that the Fire Department has not yet determined the official cause of the fire.
