Campeau Corp. agreed to sell Federated Department Stores’s 27-store MainStreet chain to Kohl’s Department Stores Inc. of Brookfield, Wis., for what it expected would exceed $90 million. MainStreet, a soft goods chain based in Bannockburn, Ill., that has stores in Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Indiana, is one of several units to be sold by Campeau since the Canadian developer-retailer acquired Cincinnati-based Federated for $6.6 billion last May. The MainStreet deal was expected to close in November, Campeau said.
