FHP International posted net income of $4 million for its first quarter ended Sept. 30, up 62% from the $2.5 million reported for the comparable period a year ago. Revenue for the quarter increased 43% to $152 million from $106.3 million. The Fountain Valley-based company operates health maintenance organizations through its FHP Inc. subsidiary.
