Cambridge, Mass.-based Polaroid Corp. confirmed that company officials met over the weekend with hostile suitor Shamrock Holdings Inc. in an unsuccessful effort to resolve legal disputes between the companies. Burbank-based Shamrock has offered $2.4 billion to buy the shares in the instant photography firm that it does not already own.
