New World Entertainment said it successfully completed an agreement to sell Marvel Comics to the Andrews Group for $82.5 million, with a closing date set for January. The company had previously announced that it expected the deal to be signed last Monday. Andrews Group (formerly Compact Video Inc.) is controlled by Revlon Chairman Ronald O. Perelman, who has been selling off a number of other entertainment-related firms such as Technicolor. A spokesman for Perelman could not be reached.
