Bass Action Improved at Silverwood

Striped bass fishermen on Silverwood Lake in the San Bernardino Mountains have found vastly improved fishing recently, thanks to rising water and last week’s trout plant.
The hot spot has been Miller Canyon, where on Tuesday Jim Specht of San Bernardino caught a 33-pound striper. Mark Gwatney of Summit Valley nearly matched that with a 31-pounder, surpassing the 29-pounder he caught there last Sunday.
