Boxing promoter Don King, contending that he’s the victim of terrorist activities, said that fire marshals were following up leads in the arson of his New York City office.
A fire department spokesman said that a flammable liquid had been poured under the front door into the vestibule of King’s office and ignited late Thursday night.
Originally, police thought it was a Molotov cocktail because a hole was blown through the glass door, apparently from the heat of the fire, which was put out in about 9 minutes.
