Have you been wondering about that out-of-synch ending to Imagine/Universal’s “The ‘burbs” that has caused consternation for more than one critic? Screenwriter Dana Olsen tells us, “There was a history of ambivalence toward the ending”--with several finales written and/or shot after the picture wrapped in the spring of 1988.
. . . That kwazy wabbit, Roger Rabbit, promises not to go away. He pops up in the cartoon, “Tummy Trouble” in June--it’ll accompany the Disney feature, “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.” There are lots more Roger adventures in the works, including “Hare in My Soup” and “Rollercoaster Rabbit.”
