Chinese Massacre
At least hundreds of civilians were massacred in China, and many, many more have been detained in jails as “counterrevolutionaries.” For whom did they die? For whom have they suffered?
They planted the seeds of democracy, though they knew they could not sit in the shade. They nourished the tree of freedom with their blood, but they would let the coming generation eat the fruit. We are indebted to their selfless sacrifices.
Why not accord them a great honor: Make them candidates for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize.
