Countywide : Deputies, Firefighters to Play in Charity Game

County sheriff’s deputies will play county firefighters in the second annual 911 Bowl charity football game on Saturday.
Proceeds will go to the Olive Crest Treatment homes for abused children.
Los Angeles Rams football player Ron Brown, along with other Ram players, and Jeff Criswell of the New York Jets, are expected to sign autographs at the game. The Rams cheerleaders are also scheduled to provide a halftime show that includes fireworks.
There will also be displays sponsored by the fire and sheriff’s departments as well as 40 clowns from the Orange County Elks Club.
The deputies and the firefighters are both coming off wins over the Santa Ana Police Department and the Anaheim Fire Department.
Saturday’s game will be played at Orange Coast College’s Le Bard Field in Costa Mesa. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. For Ticket information, call (714) 777-1337.
