Asbestos Suit Filed: Lawyers seeking to represent more than 80,000 people filed suit against the investment firm Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc. and leveraged buyout specialist Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. seeking to reverse the $2.4-billion takeover of Jim Walter Corp. two years ago. The lawsuit, filed in Texas state court in Beaumont, claims that the buyout was a fraudulent attempt to escape more than $3 billion in liabilities stemming from asbestos claims against Celotex Corp., a subsidiary of Tampa, Fla.-based home builder Jim Walter, also named as a defendant.
