The body of an unidentified man was found in a burned car in a remote area near Palmdale, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday.
The body was discovered just after 11 a.m. Friday during a routine patrol by a Sheriff’s Department helicopter. The victim, who was also burned, was found behind the steering wheel of the car on Mt. Emma Road about a mile east of Angeles Forest Highway, Sgt. Ernie Roop said.
A spokeswoman in the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said the man’s identity and cause of death had not been determined.
