An unidentified man was struck by a car and severely injured while crossing Interstate 5, authorities reported Sunday.
The man was walking east across the freeway late Saturday when he was struck by a southbound car, just south of the Via de la Valle exit, said a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman. The driver, whose name was not released by authorities, was not charged with any crime.
