N.Y. Police Kill Woman Who Stabbed Daughter

NEW YORK — A divorced mother screaming that her three children were possessed by the devil stabbed and critically wounded one of them Thursday and was shot to death by a policeman, officials said.
Police said officer Andrew Boyle was forced to shoot the 33-year-old woman to save the life of her 9-year-old daughter--whom she was attacking with a carving knife in her apartment--and her two other children.
