Spouse, 80, Charged in Crutch Beating Death of Husband

TRIKALA, Greece — An 80-year-old woman who allegedly beat her husband with a crutch during an argument over their will has been charged with his death, police say.
Stavroula Plexidas was arrested Wednesday in Megalochori, a small farming village on this outskirts of this town in central Greece, and charged with the murder of her husband, Nikolaos, 78.
Plexidas was arrested after her dying husband told police that she had beaten him with her wooden crutch as he lay in bed Tuesday night after an argument over their estate, a police spokesman said Thursday.
