Judge Warns McMartin Founder

Virginia McMartin, founder of the McMartin Pre-School, was warned that she may be cited for contempt and sent to jail after she made repeated outbursts while testifying at the molestation and conspiracy trial of her daughter and grandson Thursday.
“I am very angry,” said Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William Pounders, after McMartin, 82, began arguing with him and challenging his authority. “She continues to spout off” in front of the jury, he complained, instead of simply answering the questions posed to her by Deputy Dist. Atty. Lael Rubin.
