Bell-Jeff 14, South Pasadena 7--Bell-Jeff (1-3-1) gave up a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage, but fought back in the second half behind an Alfred Silva kickoff return for a touchdown and an Earl Matthews touchdown.

Silva took the opening kick of the second half and raced 86 yards for the score. On the first play from scrimmage in the fourth quarter, Matthews took an option pitch from quarterback Rod Chapman and scampered 75 yards untouched down the left sideline.
