Prep Football Roundup : Capistrano Valley Gets Last-Minute TD for Victory

SAN DIEGO — Quarterback Tony Solliday scored on a one-yard run with two minutes to play, giving Capistrano Valley High School a 21-17 victory over Point Loma Saturday.
Solliday had set up the run with a 17-yard pass to Dave Poltl two plays earlier.
Solliday was 11 for 26 for 125 yards.
Point Loma’s last chance ended with less than a minute remaining in the game. Danny White completed a 14-yard pass to J.J. Stokes, which moved the ball to the Point Loma 48-yard line. But Capistrano Valley’s Mike Lavin intercepted a pass from halfback Brett Callan.
Capistrano Valley is 5-0, Point Loma 2-3.
Capistrano Valley’s Paul Shaheen had 16 carries for 115 yards and one touchdown. Poltl had five receptions for 51 yards and one touchdown.
