The trial of Bon Jovi manager Doc McGhee on drug-smuggling conspiracy charges has been postponed in Lafayette, La. McGhee, who also manages Skid Row and used to handle Motley Crue, faces June 1988 charges as being part of a ring that conspired to bring a million pounds of cocaine and marijuana into the United States between 1982 and 1984. McGhee pleaded guilty to similar charges in North Carolina in January 1988. He received a suspended five-year prison sentence, a $15,000 fine and 3,000 hours of community service, as well as being ordered to put up $250,000 to fund an anti-drug organization, which has staged several benefit concerts, including the much-publicized Music Peace Festival in Moscow in August.
