ON THE SIDELINES : Cubs Hike Wrigley Field Prices

CHICAGO — Chicago Cubs fans will be paying higher ticket prices for many Wrigley Field seats next year.
Field level boxes will go up 13%, from $11.50 to $13, giving the Cubs the second-most expensive seats in the National League. The Montreal Expos charge $18.50 in Canadian dollars (about $15.75 U.S.) for field box seats.
The Cubs also will add $1 to terrace and upper-deck boxes, charging $10. All other prices will remain the same, except for reserved upper-deck seats for children 13 and under, which will be reduced from $3.50 to $3.
Cubs President Don Grenesko said he does not believe that the higher prices will cost the Cubs at the gate, where they drew a franchise-record 2.49 million fans in 1989.
