WEEKEND BOX OFFICE : Look Who’s No. 1 . . . Again

Tri-Star’s fall blockbuster “Look Who’s Talking” held strong in the weekend box office with $11.4 million, down only 1% since last weekend; in four weeks the film has taken in $59 million. Tri-Star also claimed the No. 2 spot with the outdoor adventure story “The Bear,” which rose to $5.1 million--a jump of 38%--when it picked up 187 screens. Woody Allen’s “Crimes and Misdemeanors” (Orion) expanded to 440 screens and grossed $2.6 million.

* The controversial “Veiled Threat,” produced by Iranian-born Behrooz Afrakhan, opened on one screen--at the AMC Century 14 theater in Century City--for a strong $12,381. Earlier this year, the only public screening of the low-budget thriller was cancelled because of bomb threats, in apparent connection with its negative portrayal of the Khomeini regime.
