Family Planning Clinics Closed
I read with mounting anger, the article regarding closure of 13 family planning centers as a result of the governor’s budget cut. I am sick and tired of politicians playing God. Since when did eliminating the availability of life-saving medical services such as early detection of breast and cervical cancer equate to opposing abortion?
Without guns or gas chambers or hydrogen bombs, our hypocritical governor, armed only with a blue pencil, has threatened one-half million low-income women with a new, slower and more subtle form of genocide: the denial of access to health care.
