COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Orange Coast Men Move One Step Closer to Soccer Title

Six players scored as Orange Coast College defeated Cypress, 6-0, in an Orange Empire Conference soccer match Tuesday at Orange Coast.
Andy Strouse, Lance Barker, and Mike Sandel scored in the first half and Marco Vazquez, John Coggins and Scott Casey scored in the second for Orange Coast (13-4-2 overall, 7-1-1 in conference).
Orange Coast needs only a tie on Thursday at Riverside in the final conference match to win the title. Rancho Santiago is in second, two points behind the Pirates.
In other Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer matches:
Fullerton 2, Riverside 1--Paul McDonnell scored with less than a minute left to break a 1-1 tie for host Fullerton.
Louis Panduro scored in the first half for Fullerton (12-7-2, 5-3-1).
Rancho Santiago 7, Golden West 2--David Laing scored in the first half and Eric Figler in the second for host Golden West (1-15-2, 0-7-2).
