Suit Trial Scheduled: Speaking of brokers and courts, an Orange County Superior Court judge has set March 26 as the trial date for a $64-million suit by a local real estate brokerage against big Dallas developer Trammel Crow Co. and the Irvine engineering concern Fluor Corp.
Lee & Associates, Irvine, contends that the two companies shut it out of a commission on a 1985 deal in which Trammel Crow bought Fluor’s 162-acre headquarters for $340 million.
The lawsuit has dragged on since then. A second pretrial settlement conference ended after 20 minutes last week when it was clear neither side was budging from its position, Lee & Associates said.
