Reseda 12, Birmingham 12--A 90-yard punt return by Chris Kates with 5:45 left salvaged the tie for the host Regents. Reseda (5-1-2, 4-1-1) had a chance to win, but Daniel Mendez missed the conversion.
Birmingham (4-3-1, 2-3-1) also had an opportunity to break the tie, but Jake Brescher’s 37-yard field goal attempt with nine seconds left went wide left.
Birmingham quarterback Danny Larson completed 15 of 25 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns. Brescher made a game-high eight catches for 144 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Mohammad Effsatian caught a nine-yard pass in the second quarter for the Braves’ other score.
