L.A. Police Nab Betting Bowlers

In reference to the big bust made on those women who made bets on their game while bowling:

I have a confession to make to the police. I was inspector on the election board during the terms of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, etc. etc. There were five of us (all women) on the board and we always put a dime (10 cents) in the kitty to see how many good citizens came in to vote. We each made a bet on the number of voters; the closest to the exact amount won the whole 50 cents.
