Pro Football Writer Was Way Off Base

I neglected to clip and save the column Bob Oates wrote when Mike Shanahan was fired and Art Shell hired as Raider coach--the one in which Oates said that the move was nothing more than a smoke-screen to take the heat off management for not providing winning personnel and that the team could only look forward to a dismal remainder of the ’89 season, no matter who coached it.
Any chance you could reprint that article so that we could all once again savor Oates’ great wisdom and omniscience?
