SOUTHERN SECTION FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Small Gains 252 Yards in 45-7 Win

Errol Small scored five touchdowns and rushed for 252 yards in 20 carries Friday to lead host Notre Dame High to a 45-7 rout of Bell-Jeff in a win that clinched the San Fernando Valley League title for the Knights (9-1, 4-0).
Small scored on runs of one, 35, five, 60, and four yards before leaving the game with 5:25 left in the third quarter. Small’s rushing total was a career high and pushed him past the 1,000-yard mark. The 6-3, 205-pound senior has gained 1,044 yards in 130 carries.
Quarterback Greg Andrachick completed seven of 15 passes for 129 yards as Notre Dame amassed 466 yards in total offense, 251 in the first half.
Quarterback Rod Chapman completed seven of 13 passes for 154 yards, including the only score for Bell-Jeff (2-7-2, 1-3), a 68-yard toss to Jason Stanley.
Small returned a Chapman interception 60 yards to the Bell-Jeff 35 to set up a Chris Afarian 27-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.
