WALESA: Most congressmen who wanted to get a glimpse of Solidarity leader Lech Walesa had to claw their way through the crowd at a jammed joint session at the Capitol. . . . But Rep. C. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach) got a private audience at a gathering later where he presented Walesa with a Polish language copy of Cox-authored amendments to a foreign aid bill just adopted by the House. . . . “He said what they need more than money is private ownership in Poland, and that this is the way to do it,” Cox said.
