With less than 13 minutes left Friday night at East Rutherford, N.J., the New York Rangers had a 4-1 lead and appeared to be breezing against the New Jersey Devils.
But the Devils, with Kirk Muller leading the way, scored the last four goals and won in overtime, 5-4.
Muller tied the game when he tipped a shot from the point by Reijo Routsalainen into the net with 1:47 left in regulation. Muller scored the winning goal with 1:23 left in the overtime, deflecting in Bruce Driver’s shot.
Edmonton 3, Buffalo 0--Goalie Grant Fuhr stopped 30 shots for his first shutout of the season as the Oilers won at Edmonton. It was only Fuhr’s second victory in eight games this season.
