The Wall’s Foundation: To provide a historical perspective on the Berlin Wall coming down, the Arts & Entertainment Cable Network will re-broadcast “Dateline: 1961, The Berlin Wall” on Thanksgiving Day. The episode, part of “The Eagle and the Bear” documentary series spanning 40 years of turbulent U.S.-Soviet relations, depicts the events surrounding the creation of the barrier. “We thought that since it’s such a relevant topic and since it is Thanksgiving in America, the program was a way to look back to see how drastically things have changed over there as well as in this country,” an A&E; spokeswoman said. “It’s especially good for the younger generation of people. They see the Wall being torn down and should know when it was put up and why it was put up.” The program will be broadcast Thursday at 5:30 and 9:30 p.m.
