Cache of Firearms Seized in Raid of ‘Safe House’

Deputies culminating a weeklong investigation Friday raided a home in South Los Angeles and seized a cache of weapons, authorities said.
Arrested was Jackie Howard, 35, who investigators allege operated a “safe house” for gang members and their firearms. Sheriff’s deputies and agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms seized 32 firearms, including three AK-47 assault rifles, shotguns and a carbine rifle, Deputy Van Mosley said .
Also seized were boxes of ammunition, 260 grams of marijuana and assorted narcotics paraphernalia.
