STANFORD — The 65th annual East-West Shrine Game at Stanford Stadium today is audition time for many players hoping to show their stuff to NFL scouts.
At the top of the list for many scouts will be quarterbacks Tony Rice of Notre Dame and Troy Taylor of California.
Other highly regarded players include running back Anthony Thompson of Indiana, guard Mohammed Elewonibi of BYU and lineman Dennis Brown of Washington.
Johnny Bailey, who broke Tony Dorsett’s NCAA rushing record by gaining 7,805 yards for Texas A&I;, will also play.
