Reischling to Officiate Bruins’ Games at Arizona, Oregon State

Mark Reischling, who called a game-turning technical foul against Trevor Wilson last week in UCLA’s 87-79 loss at Stanford, is scheduled to officiate in two of the Bruins’ biggest games in the second half of the Pacific 10 Conference race.
Reischling will officiate Feb. 10 at Arizona and Feb. 24 at Oregon State, a conference spokesman said Friday.
UCLA Coach Jim Harrick was publicly reprimanded by the Pac-10 this week and put on probation for the remainder of the season after repeatedly criticizing Reischling’s call against Wilson.
Further criticism of officials by Harrick, a conference official said, could result in a hearing before the Pac-10 compliance committee and a possible suspension.
But, even under the circumstances, the Pac-10 would not consider altering its schedule and not have Reischling work any more UCLA games this season, said Frank McIntyre, supervisor of basketball officials.
“No way,” McIntyre said. “He’s on it to stay.”
