Return to Films, She Wrote: Angela Lansbury, star of the hit television series “Murder, She Wrote,” has entered a long-term deal with Hollywood Pictures (a division of of Walt Disney Studios) to star in feature films. Lansbury, who recently won a Golden Globe for her role as mystery writer Jessica Fletcher on the CBS sleuth series, may develop and produce the features through her company, Corymore Productions. Lansbury has starred in several acclaimed films and has had three Oscar nominations for supporting roles (“Gaslight,” “The Picture of Dorian Gray” and “The Manchurian Candidate”). Lansbury recently negotiated a contract for “Murder, She Wrote” that substantially reduces her role on the show.
