ENCINO — Chris Tidland of Valencia High School won the Los Angeles Junior Golf Championships Tuesday with a two-day score of 143 at the Sepulveda golf courses.
Tidland, 17, shot a 70 Monday and trailed Jim Skinner of Pacific Palisades by a stroke. Skinner, however, shot an 80 Tuesday and Tidland, who shot 73, was never challenged.
Tidland, who won the Southern Section individual championship last season, plans to attend Oklahoma State on a golf scholarship in the fall.
