GRATEFUL DEAD: When the El Toro Air Show opens this weekend to an expected 1 million people (B2), at least six familiar faces will be absent from nearby Irvine Meadows. . . . Last year, 79 arrests were made during three Grateful Dead concerts that drew an additional 45,000 people to South County. . . . This year, by mutual agreement, the band will be playing two sold-out shows to 60,000 fans on the soccer field at Cal State Dominguez Hills. “Irvine was a nice place, but we got too big,” a band spokesman said.
