Take My Ex-Wife, Please: Johnny Carson, who often jokes about his three ex-wives, wasn’t kidding around when he angrily asked a New York court to refuse his first wife’s petition for increased alimony. “Simply put, (her) petition is a baldfaced holdup--a vehicle to generate unfavorable publicity in an attempt to extort money,” the four-times-married Carson said in court papers. But Jody Carson said she saw nothing funny about receiving $13,500 a year: “With the $40 million he earns, I’m only asking for $120,000 and for him, that’s like paying carfare.”
