NATION IN BRIEF : OHIO : Lukens Campaigns Despite Conviction

U.S. Rep. Donald E. Lukens (R-Ohio) apologized for “a dumb mistake” and announced he is actively seeking reelection even though his appeal on a conviction of having sex with a teen-age girl is pending. “We don’t have much time,” Lukens, 59, said in making his ammouncement in the western Ohio town of Fletcher. The GOP primary election is Tuesday.
