World-class long jumper Larry Myricks sued The Athletic Congress, claiming he was unlawfully suspended after testing positive for a drug contained in an over-the-counter cold medicine.
Myricks, 34, the world’s second-ranked long jumper and a competitor in four Olympics, claims in the federal court suit that TAC suspended him from competition last month without a proper hearing.
Myricks has claimed he did not know Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold Medicine contained a “performance-enhancing” substance, phenylpropanolamine (PPA), which is banned by TAC, the national governing body of track and field.
