Lucero Wins Speedway’s Scratch Main Event

Steve Lucero of Riverside won the four-lap scratch main event in front of 3,461 in the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program Friday at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa.

Mike Faria of Riverside was second, Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano third and Shawn McConnell of Brea fourth.

Steve Lucero won the eight-lap handicap main event. Jim Sisemore of Woodland was second, Brent Werner of Hesperia third, Oxley fourth and Faria fifth.
